STATE SENATOR MARTY GOLDEN ENDORSES MARKO KEPI FOR CITY COUNCIL

Staten Island – Marko Kepi, candidate for New York City Council’s 50th District (Mid-Island), today is proud to announce the endorsement of former State Senator Marty Golden, a former New York City Police Officer, City Councilmember and small business owner.

“I know Marko Kepi will be on the right side of the battle to make our City safe again. He will stand up for the NYPD, the Port Authority Police Department, and all law enforcement units because he believes in supporting our policing, not crippling their ability to do their job and protect us. Marko will focus on our public safety, work with businesses to create new opportunities, and get our kids back in our schools safely so they can learn better. Staten Island and the City of New York needs someone like Marko Kepi in the City council,” said former State Senator Marty Golden.

“During my time on Senator Golden’s staff, I learned the essentials of public service. I learned the importance of being responsive to your constituency and working tirelessly to improve the quality of life of those you represent. I look forward to bringing these lessons and skills with me to the City Council. I will bring new leadership to this district and never shy away from my work to keep our neighborhood safe, clean and moving in the right direction,” said City Council candidate Marko Kepi.

Mr. Kepi, a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve, is a product of the New York City public school system, a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and earned an Executive Master of Business Administration from Wagner College. Mr. Kepi has served as an intern with former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani’s presidential campaign, was a member of the district office staff of former New York State Senator Martin Golden, and is a former candidate for the New York State Assembly’s 64th District. Born in Albania, Marko immigrated to the United States as a young man, and the opportunities this country has provided him and his family were a driving force behind his decision to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps.

The Republican Primary for the 50th Council District is on Tuesday, June 22nd. Early voting begins on Saturday, June 12 and continues until Sunday, June 20, 2021. To learn more about Marko Kepi, visit www.markokepi.com.
